Charles Darwin University (CDU) has partnered with SPEE3D to form the Advanced Manufacturing Alliance, a joint initiative to utilise a world-first 3D metal printing technology.
Through collaboration, the Alliance will engage with industry partners, trades and academics to:
- Develop real-world applications
- Create industry procedures and standards
- Drive material development.
The potentially transformative technology in the LightSPEE3D machine allows bulk 3D copper parts to be printed in minutes at competitive manufacturing cost. CDU is looking to work with others to drive the research to find useful applications for this new copper manufacturing technique.

Archer Exploration Limited is an ASX listed mineral exploration and advanced materials development company, based in South Australia. At Blue Hills, Archer has discovered a large, district scale, intrusive related copper system with multiple kilometre scale copper prospects already identified. The Blue Hills project is located approximately 250 km (by road) north of Adelaide, South Australia. Blue Hills is also within 400 km of vital infrastructure, including gas pipeline, 2000 MW gas power station, rail line, townships and water.

Geovision CRCP will develop and commercialise an integrated solution to improve, support and automate decision making at exploration and mining drill sites.
We will combine multi-sensory core scanners, data fusion and machine learning capabilities to capture geological and structural data not currently collected or analysed.

Havilah Resources Limited (ASX:HAV) is implementing a Copper Growth Strategy that aims to develop its three advanced stage copper-gold (cobalt) projects in the Curnamona Craton region of northeastern South Australia. This is underpinned by a JORC mineral resources inventory of over 1.4 million tonnes of copper and 3.6 million ounces of gold that has been discovered to date by Havilah in the highly prospective Curnamona Copper Belt. Havilah’s development and operational experience at its producing Portia gold mine will be a key factor in the successful execution of this strategy.
